Since 2015, the Antioquia Symphony School has implemented its musical initiation and training program at the Lycée, aiming to promote the holistic development of our students. The methodological work is based on Edgar Willems’ pedagogy, which respects the different stages of child development and, in a structured way, allows them to discover and master musical concepts.

At the French Lycée of Medellín, music is experienced naturally, receptively, actively, and creatively, regardless of the children’s musical abilities. The program provides artistic exposure, develops memory, imagination, and musical awareness, preparing students for singing, music theory, instrumental practice, and harmony.

This process also creates favorable social interaction spaces, strengthening the family and everyday environments where students live and grow.
